Ending FGM IN
Mauritania
The next of the revolutionary Born Perfect FGM Caravans – described as the “single best chance of ending FGM by 2030” – will start in Mauritania in 2027.
As seen in Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Kenya, and Somalia, the Born Perfect Caravans will take Mauritania. Led by frontline women, a united rally of influencers, and a large film screen will travel across FGM hotspots with one message: Girls are Born Perfect

However, there is hope as the Act against FGM movement (MAC-MGF) works tirelessly since 2020 to raise awareness about the dangers of FGM, promote its abandonment, and support survivors.
